Grand Opening at the MarketPlace!

Saturday, June 21st, 2003 will be remembered as the Grand Opening of the new market at Place de Douai - the weather is expected to be gorgeous - so the fun is almost a guarantee!

Last weekend we opened softly with 18 vendors and we estimate that several thousand people came through the market. A produce vendor sold out by 11:15am and most produce and processed food vendors sold out before the market closed at 2pm. The prepared food vendors were very busy to call in more food and serve all the customers. We have received lots of positive feed-back from the artists community reporting good sales of artistic objects. The beautiful MarketPlace T-shirts also quickly became a favorite souvenir to take home.

The weekend of the Grand Opening we have 28 vendors and expect a great turn-out.

Special feature: The holistic corner at the Harbor MarketPlace

This weekend we have four vendors that offer advise on healthy living, chair massage therapy, aroma therapy, herbs and jewelry designed to enhance your spirit. Remember, good health is a gift that should be maintained!
