Friends of HarborMarket

In our 8th year, Kenosha's HarborMarket has become one of the most anticipated weekly events of the Summer and Fall. Each season thousand of people enjoy live entertainment, chef demonstrations, kids activities, and of course, bountiful shopping!

HarborMarket is part of Kenosha Common Markets, Inc. It is managed by a group of nine community members, who volunteer their time and talent, and serve on the Board of Directors.

In order to grow HarborMarket in number of vendors, activities and events we need the help of volunteers, WE NEED YOUR HELP!

You, your family, your Company are invited to join us as volunteers to help ensure that the market runs smoothly each Saturday.

You can commit as little as 2 hours, or the entire day.

We divide the day in three shifts: Opening, Events, Closing.

If you sign-up for the Opening Shift, your help will be needed to

  • Control Vendors Access to the Market
  • Ensure Vendors find the Correct Spot
  • Help Vendors Set-Up
  • Keep Customers out to prevent accidents
  • We may need your help as early as 7:15am

If you sign-up for the Event Shift, your help will be needed to

  • Help Customers find Vendors
  • Take Surveys - Count Attendance
  • Help the Chef (Cooking Demo)
  • Help any ongoing Activity (Children Activities or Contests)

If you sign-up for the Closing Shift, your help will be needed to

  • Help Vendor Take-Down
  • Control Vendors' Vehicle return to load and leave
  • Keep Customers out to prevent accidents
  • We may need your help as late as 2:45pm

We appreciate very much your intention to come and help! We truly rely on your help, and request that you let us know if you become unavailable on a day that you've committed to.

So that Vendors and Customers can recognize you as Good Friend of HarborMarket, you will be required to wear our Friends Apron.

Please keep the apron as our token of appreciation for your help, and make sure you bring it everytime you want to come and help.

Note: Volunteers that sign-up individually receive one apron; as a family you receive 2 aprons; companies receive up to 5 aprons.
